yeah tony car had pulled out but by then i was a good 2 cars lenghts ahead anyway and on the first race its abit daft for you 2 go on the other side on a bend aint it and id backedoff by then anyway

found it out today in work bolt on a Lotus bottom end to your engine and you'll get about a 100BHP increase As long as you can find some1 who can do the job, I'd say you should go for it and no this aint a blag, its 100% real Metro engines are compatible with Lotus engines

the lotus engine is just a metro engine stroked and bored! same as any rover 1.8! its easier just to put the whole 1.8 in! they even use a metro head! haha! and as for the 100bhp! the 1.8 lotus are only 120bhp! the vvc are 160! my metro is already 120bhp! but u get loads more torque!

or maybe it was power in BMP (brake mouse power)
As for the initial questio. The 106GTi is 7.9 to 60 stock with a top speed (downhill) of off the clock at 140. Ive witnessed it,not sure how accurate the speedo is tho
