the mini engine is certainly unique, both its exhaust and inlet ports come out on the same side with 2 inlets feeding the 4 cylinders (1 per 2 cylinders) and the exhaust, the two outers take either end piston while the centre takes from the two in the middle. i'll try a get a picture..........

![[Linked Image]](http://www.cruisewirral.com/gallery/uploads/01/06march/cruisewirral03017.jpg) this is all i could find, but you can get a faint idea. you can get 8 port heads for the bugger which do release alot more power but then you usually have to cut a hole in your bonnet like so ![[Linked Image]](http://www.cruisewirral.com/gallery/uploads/01/06march/cruisewirral03018.jpg)

Hey peeps: The mini has a really good embarrassment factor in that, setup properly with the right engine it can surprise lots of other cars, maybe not blow them away, but give them a run for their money, especially in the traffic light grand prix! Mine looks so sweet and innocent and when minis race people are shocked they can be so fast! Thats what i like about minis. You just dont expect it, and you can imagine a great grin when you do it, even if the other person isnt trying. Go Mini! Youve just been Mini'd
