well, its that time of the year. next month ive gotta give some people about a thousand pound for a piece of paper that says im insured. great. last year i paid 1330 with liverpool victoria. hopefully it'll be considerably cheaper this year now ive got a whopping 1 years no claims (i was thinking of doing a pass plus, is it worth it?) What annoys me though is i never made a single claim last year and i couldve used that 1300 quid for stuff for my car. it looks like im gonna be driving around in a standard car for a lot longer than i hoped. are there any insurance compaines that you would recommend? any advice would be helpful. cheers folks.

Just a note : When applying online Tescos and possibly others may at fist look atractive But when you get further in to the sign up process you find that the bits you thought would have been parts of the package are actually add-ons !! So dont believe the first screen quote !! Hope this helps...

You could also try Norwich Union (if you've got your pass plus - takes off 50% if you're with them), or if you wanna mod your car go with CIS.
I'm with CIS with the Jeep, when I had the mods done recently they actually brought my insurance DOWN by over £200!!

For your pass plus, get in touch with your driving instructor. As for the mods on the Jeep, click here to see what mods were done. The reason the insurance came down was that the new engine might be 400cc bigger and pack more than twice the torque, but it also happens to have 5 less bhp than the old engine, and that's the figure CIS looks at. CIS only gives a **** if you modify the engine, lower the suspension, or fit bigger wheels (not tyres), so it works perfectly for me

Go to Churchill, i am paying £450 rather than £600.
You may need a pass plus tho, i cannot stress how usefull it will be
