This is a sad time for me but I have had much thought and I need to find a new home for my gsd girl she is full pedigree but with a big but she doesn't like dogs at all and she barks alot and loud. Can anyone help she is 4 years old. We have tried to work with her but it's got to the point my husband cannot walk her as she pulls that much on a lead it tears his ligaments in his arms and then he cannot do anything for months. Can anyone help please and give her a good home. I don't want a row or negative comments I just ask the best for her I will check out her new home etc

I sympathise as a couple of years ago I had to rehome my neighbour's dog who had behavioural issues, when she had to go into a home. No one would help and I was absolutely desperate as it looked like he was going to have to be put down. In the end I begged Heswall Animal Rescue who took him in for an assessment and special training. He stayed there for 24 hours when a woman took a liking to him and gave him a week's trial and he never went back. Give them a call and hopefully they'll be able to help.

Monsterz4 you say the dog pulls on the lead, have you tried a head collar. When I rescued my Akita she pulled, could slip her collar & lunged at every dog we passed,I was advised to get the canny collar which is better than the usual haltis.she hated it at first but got used to it quickly. It gives excellent head control & puts you in control stops the pulling.I've recommended it to other people & they have been amazed at how much easier the walking is.

Do you still need help rehoming your dog?
I have a rescue space available at a good gsd rescue,
But these spaces are filled quite quickly so time is of the essence.
Let me know if you no longer require my help.

Thanks Karen
