Whilst trying to sort my head out i wrote down what happened basically ... and i guess i may aswell post it up to let you guys know what happened exactly.
------------------------------------------------------------------
I was driving home late last night, it was raining hard, i was only going 40 mph cause i had not long passed a speed camera. Which was lucky.
Anyway I was going up the slight hill on the main road headin towards asda, from what i know i either ran over something on the road or clipped the kerb which resulted in the car jumping up onto the central reservation.
The car then collided head on into the large iron lamp post, the car was then flipped onto the left (passenger) side of the car and slided along a few yards or so.
I think i was momentarily knocked out and soon i realised i was suspended by my seatbelt, having to hold myself up i got the seat belt loose and got upright. Tried the doors and they were all stuck, neither would the windows open. Passerby's came to help but they couldnt get me out either. Trying to get out i kicked the windscreen in repeatedly but to no success, eventually i ended up having to climb out of the driver side window ( which was above me seeing as the car was sideways. ) from where i was helped down and escorted to an ambulance that arrived soon after.
However the car is gone, totally destroyed the front of the car, the front wheel was ripped off an flung down the road, still with its suspension spring attached. .... and well ..... the street light is no longer there.
As you can tell its been quite "traumatic" i guess ..... very shaken up and kind of goin through a range of feelings. The ambulance and police from the scene said i was actually lucky to walk away from it. So as you can imagine i feel very horrible going over all the "what if's"
But, thanks for the comments, kinda helps, and is appreciated.

At times some things will seem hard to overcome in terms of the loss of a material item. What would have been harder to overcome if the accident was more serious!! Its the loss or injury of a friend or relative that makes those material things irrelevant. You might have had good memories in that car etc but the toss up between life and a material assets thing should not be under estimated. Life is a very precious gift and alot of people take it for granted.. I am made up that you are okay mate. I dont know you that well but I reckon its better getting to know you this way then never getting to know you at all. Stay Cool
