Does anyone know what the 'exercise' was by Bidston Tip today? Road was closed and there were 5 black helicopters there at one point?

I heard it was something to do with training to land a helicopter on boats/ ships.

I heard it was something to do with training to land a helicopter on boats/ ships. Is this going on tonight as well, can hear what sounds like helicopters from around that way?

I saw 4 helicopters hovering over the supply ship (orange leaf) I think it was about 5.30pm and one was throwing stuff down on ropes, they all left soon afterwards two at a time, however when I passed again at 6.30pm the bridge road was still closed off.
