Seems that for some things I haven't got Admin privileges, which is strange because it's my puter. I've been into Control Panel and made sure I'm the only user and use the correct passwords etc. Looked all over the place for any other way of seeing what the problem is but drawn a blank. Any ideas anyone??????

What version of Windows are you using.
Sometimes a reboot will settle the settings down.
