the effects on all boat angling from wirral would be affected, with closure of some boats businesses.....this slipway is accessible at all states of the tide.....and has been there well before lairds............700 years of history

Not just boats, the cross river swim finishes here:

Lairds have plenty of waste and unused land on their site which would be far more suitable.

Their application is full of lies and mistruths, claiming the slipway is unused when it isn't, or that the car park is often empty - they don't say when they checked this, it often is on a weekday, but not at weekends.

There's also claims about crime in this area. Erm, how about getting the police to act on it then?

And then there's the jobs claim. "Could create" not "will create" and "up-to 45 jobs" - no definite figures and could mean anything from 1 to 45.

I 'liked' the facebook page a few days ago but not really sure of the point of it......

Same here, I think it was a little too late and lacking substance in its argument.
