We had one from New on an 04 plate. We found the bulbs kept going and they were hard to get access to the unit to replace, Otherwise a great car, comfy and great to drive. Can't recall ever having to put it in for repair or anything

had one of these ,2ltr diesel on an 02 plate .paid 2000 for it and it was brilliant .had a problem with a power steering pipe as it runs right infront of the radiator behind the bumpa not an easy fix but apparently it is a common problem (can do it yourself but have to remove all the front of the car).if it wasnt for the good deal i got on my x type i would have got another one no problem .there is loads of space in them and there a brilliant family car .you should get an o5 plate for your money but dont get the smaller 1600 diesel as the 2ltr is much better on the fuel apparentley

Another thumb up from me. My dad had one on Motability from new some years back and it was brilliant, not a single problem.
When he gave up his current car two years ago he bought one secondhand which has also been brilliant.
So long as you buy one that's been looked after with evidence of service history you shouldn't have any problems, other than any known issues with crop up with age rather than neglect.
