Over the weekend I saw an old Saab 93 convertible advertised for Sale
, it seemed in fairly good condition for the year (2000) and had almost a years MoT.
The owner said that it was blowing a bit of grey smoke, and he'd been told that the seals in the turbo had gone.
It was a bargain price, and worth a look, so I bought it, collecting it tonight.
His definition of "bit" of grey smoke may have been a slight understatement, parts of Cheshire now have fog warnings in place, but, to be fair, it does drive quite nicely for an old banger.
I'm looking for recommendations, or offers, to have the turbo repaired/replaced, or if someone wants a summer project for themselves make me an offer (it's taxed as well, but you REALLY can't drive it around until it's fixed).
