Can anybody help? Just replaced the laser on my PS3 put it all back together and the drive won't "suck" in the disc anymore.
I replaced the plastic gears that sit on the drive and it still won't take the disc.
Please if anybody can help me it would be appreciated.

Have you checked the switch on the top inside? Has very thin wires that do come away.

Which one? No wires or ribbons are cables are broken or torn, I've managed to get it to start "sucking" in the docs but it's still not readin it even after a system rebuild. The disc spins for around 30 seconds then stops

Yea I bought it from a guy I know, would you mind? You would have to come to my house if possible as I'm recovering from a lung operation.

My ps3 is playing up too, it doesnt like playing any other game other than MW3?
Tried to play ghosts and it spins the disc for ten or fifteen secs then come up with an error code.
But i can put the MW3 disc straight back in and it plays fine?
