The Council has closed them all, right across the Wirral as far as I can see. I don't know what you are supposed to do if you need a pee. Probably the best plan is to take yourself to the Council Offices and do it on their doorstep. They might then take the hint and reopen them. Communities need public toilets.

Years ago, I was in Stockholm on business. A colleague dragged me through the snowy streets one evening to show me a building. It turned out to be the first public urinal in Europe. "The dawn" he said, "of the realisation that rulers have social responsibilities."

In Wirral, however, the sun seems to have well and truly set on it again!

so no pubs in Bebington, New Ferry or anywhere else on the wirral? wink

I for one would not like to go in some of these pubs, let alone maybe a Lady on her own or with children.

The reason for all the public peeing etc in India arises from the fact that there are no proper toilets. Step out of your house here and it is much the same!
West Kirby Park is classic. New toilets which are shut at weekends, when the Park sees most use.

There are toilets without radar locks, its just the disabled ones that have radar locks.

The council promised it would coordinate with local businesses as to which were happy to let the public use their toilets - virtually nothing happened as far as I am aware.

When I was in Berlin you could have a lash wherever so long as you was discrete and didn't wave it about, that's classed as indecency. Bit unnerving when passing a woman behind a bush, we were in a bus going to work and were above the height of the bushes. It seemed to be a system that worked anyway. Don't know if the same rules apply now but should think they do.

Common sense used to prevail in this country as well, I'm sure the majority of men have been caught short at some point and had a discrete relief somewhere, its quite normal in the countryside.

Unfortunately around clubs and certain pubs its quite common to see someone NOT doing it discretely and as usual this has brought a clampdown much to the inconvenience of everybody.
