Can we expect the council to start referring to itself as 'Eurowirral' again, now that Burnham is improving ties with the EU?
An can we proudly walk along Europa Boulevard, Birkenhead's splendidly appointed road to nowhere, once again?
I can't wait!

I don't know what he thinking of, any agreement with Europe will cost us more money than we make out of it as it always has done. We are nothing but a golden pot of money to Europe and they will never agree to anything where they don't make money out of us.
We need to be focusing on improving our balance of trade or decreasing our dependence on unreliable sources, not finding ways of throwing money away.
There's a real danger that the left will drag Britain back to the 1970s, with secure well-paid jobs, ample housing, properly-funded NHS and social care, free tuition, student grants, final salary pensions, affordable rail fares and fabulous films and music.
