Weather's not looking too bad for tomorrow s walk

Thanks to T.C for a great walk/afternoon out- taking in Mayer Park, inside and outside St Andrews church and onto the Lever Railway Cuttings Walk.

Was lovely to see new faces and the weather was fantastic. Also thanks to Missy for the lift and the ham butties.

Legend has it that the lamp post within the grounds of St Andrews was the inspiration for the lamp post in C.S Lewis' 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'.

I was also interested in a certain grave- I wonder whether it was the inspiration for the illustrations of 'Aslans table',in the book??

Probably just me getting carried away by the 'magic' of it all- The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was the first book that i ever read as a child.

great pics rude and it was great to meet some new peeps today and a stroke of luck having the church historian giving us a tour inside the church. another great walk TC i cant wait till the next one
