The old name for Urmston Road was Townfield Land. The name changed in about 1904, but certainly between 1898 and 1911.
This may help if you are looking for the family on an earlier cecsus.

Having just looked on my ancestry tree, Leonard had a daughter Nora Burton qho married an Edward Williams and they lived in Wallasey. I think before Leonard went to Liverpool hw must have either sold or passed on the shop to his son in law Edward, it sounds feasible. After searching for photos of Wallasey road there are quite a few old photos but found none of this section of the road yet. Thanks for the Edaward Williams lead.
