Bought this off ebay a while back. Works great apart from there is no signal, I think its network blocked due to non payment of bill, although the seller said it wasn't that.
I bought this to use for parts for another phone but never used it in the end.
Can be used on wifi and as an ipod as is, or you may want to try and fix it if it is actully a signal prob.

the probabilities are this phone was either lost or stolen and permanently blocked....to find out if this is so go to checkmend and for a couple of quid you will know
