The air ambulance has just landed in the new car park at St. Caths & the emergency staff have rushed to the houses opposite.

The air ambulance has just landed in the new car park at St. Caths & the emergency staff have rushed to the houses opposite.
anybody got a clue ? Just heard that a marble fireplace has fallen on a small child, don't quote me on it though!!

I can confirm that a fire marble place has fell on a 3yr old kids head, (he is nearly 4) hope the poor kid make's it. ;(

I heard the helicopter, I just thought it was the police chopper doing a low level search for something (nothing new round here).
Tragic, poor kid, hope he recovers.

Sadly i don't think it is good news but i dont want to say anymore on the matter as family are neighbours and will wait for confirmation from other sources. ;(

A three year old boy has died as a result of a tragic accident in Birkenhead today.
The toddler suffered head injuries when a marble fireplace collapsed on to him
An air ambulance was called and landed in the car park at St Catherine's Hospital opposite the youngster's home. but sadly attempts to save his life failed.
Merseyside Police can confirm officers are currently in attendance at a
property in Birkenhead following the youngster's death
At about 11am emergency services were called to a property in St
Catherines Gardens to a report a three-year-old boy had been injured.
Paramedics attended and took the boy to hospital where he unfortunately
died.
Officers are in attendance at the property as is normal procedure
following the sudden or unexplained death of a child.
A post mortem will be carried out to establish a cause of death.
An investigation into the full circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
