wanting to swap a ps3 for a decent laptop that can handle playing games,its not the slim type bought it in december and my son has never used it still has 9 moths warranty on it and box it came in.

What type of games? If you want to play modern games such as COD etc you either need a top spec laptop (Close to £700 worth of kit) or a desktop computer.
If you are just talking about games like solitaire or really old games then any old laptop should work. You can get a PS3 for about £100...
