any body know whats going on in birkenhead police everywhere and wallasey tunnel has been closed i belive any updates pls.

Police have closed the road from the ferry down towards the bridges, they're not allowing people back to their homes, there's a 'rumour' about a hostage situation, but that is just what I heard from passer-by, so cannot be confirmed, sorry! There is huge police presence on the ferry car-park tho, so looks serious!

oh no hope all is okay and people in surrounding areas will be okay

I agree with you Paulph. Big difference between a hostage situation and a gas leak!! Mind you, normally a large police presence means trouble.

I want though wallasey tunnel at 7:30 and everthink was normal, tunnel open as normal.
