Planning permission was applied for..i think it was for flats to be built..but not heard anymore about it.

I believe The Great Eastern was built on the River Thames at Millwall & scrapped at New Ferry.

Planning permission was granted for 8 flats (4 houses) if I remember right!
They wouldn't have knocked it down until they got the permission, cos the building itself seemed in fairly good condition!
It is a shame tho! Seemed like it used to be a fairly nice pub x
