My zafira won't start at times and the code is p5555 it's a 2003 1.8 elegance which on the net is he throttle position sensor are hese easy to replace or could anyone on here give me a price to sort it

think you can't get the tps on it's own for the 1.8, part of the throttle body and is scary money!! worth cleaning tb though and checking for split hoses etc.

what did you get with the code or was it just the code as it can sometimes indicate ecu faults, think it says something about 'tps missing'?

Just used the pedal test and the light flashed on dash

Where is the tps on the zafira

it's on the throttle body, pretty sure the later 1.8 you can't get it on it's own??

1525 tb service/malfunction
1550 elec throttle
0150 o2 sensor
1526 tps error?
0110 maf
0100 air temp sensor

last two could be the wrong way round though.

clean the tb and maf first and see how it goes.

Done the maf today will see if I can find throttle bdy tomorrow

it's at the back of the engine with plastic hose/trunk going to the top of it.

i don't hold out much hope for cleaning a maf, might work as a temporary fix but tends to play up again.

i'm out and about tomorrow, if you want i can stop by and point it out for you?

The cars getting sold soon just want to sort any problems out before I sell it instead of stitching someone up when they buy it
