My Bold.

Technically he was, as the legal definition of "assault" is when a person intentionally or recklessly causes another to apprehend the immediate infliction of unlawful force. There are many sections that cover "assault", that increase in severity depending upon injuries sustained.

I hope you get everything sorted B&C, not a very nice situation to find yourself in! Idiots like that make me mad.

Quote
A kangaroo court is "a mock court in which the principles of law and justice are disregarded or perverted".

So B&C said he did it.
The Police were called and arrested him for it
A witness saw him do it
The guy admitted it and is paying for it

Exactly which part of this is a kangaroo court ?

Nice first post by the way, welcome to Wiki

I think perversion of justice is obvious when judgement is passed without hearing mitigation from the defendent.
Yes he was arrested, then released, without charge it seems.
I've yet to see a testimony from any witness, or any evidence that there was one.
He admitted to smashing a window, for which he is now offering to pay. Do you think the police would settle for that if they suspected serious fowl play.
I'd like to know what provoked him before I'm so quick to judge..wouldn't you.
