hi there i put a post on here the other day about my kia sportage well failed its mot few little things BUT ONE BIG THING a fuel tank any one know where i can get hold of one local to wirral please thank you for reading this

Also out of curiosity what else did it fail on??

hi there drive,
it failed on 4 wheel nuts
light bulb for reg plate
so all i need now is a fuel sender and how hard is it to get one of those contacted hills today so hopefully they will let me know ,

could be wrong, but i'd imagine it will come with the sender still in it.

yeah we got a fuel tank but the sender on it was different from the one we took off as they changed models of senders half way through the year of 1999 all the places that we have tried to get a sender from have the plug in sender unit we need the 4 wire unit that plugs in by the back seat of the car and they are almost impossible to get hold off just my luck hey hope that makes sense

I don't suppose you have a part number do you, I have a large workshop full to the rafters of nothing but Kia and Mitsubishi parts so it's possible that I have one.

the sender and take are badly rusted but i found a sticker amazingly in reasonable condition i will write what i can see on the sticker hope this help and if you have one that would be so wonderful, here goes.

no joy with hills' back to the drawing board do u know if the sender unit can be re-wired to match the one we have taken off the kia ?????

hi the dr would it be okay if we brought the tank to u and both senders to ur work shop so that we can have a look and see if we can find a matching part getting desperate now cae repairs costing me a small morgage ha ha many thanks gayle

Could you tell me, how many pin plug did your original one have,? and how many does the new one have.
And what year is your car

thanks for the link i have looked at all of them my sender unit is slightly different the white plug that is attatched to the unit mine is a wire in it with the pulg higher up so that it can be plugged in to another wire that flows through the back seat if that makes sense thanks

How many pins on plug does your original have, and how many does new one have

It may be possable to wire up the new one, I have done this myself on a punto in the past.
