im like most on here mate and dont like to see people waste money or be ripped off buying pointless thicker gauge wiring ,when it isnt going to sort the issue you have !!

you did mention being on a tight budget and ok with electrics to an extent , but i see when i asked in earlier post if you have multmeter etc and know how to use it , i didnt get a reply so assume your not capable , hence my suggestion to take it somewere that knows what there doing mate ..

advice is free ,but weather you are willing to listen and learn is up to you mate


and no i dont condone arson either but dont forget having dodgy car electrics is a fire waiting to happen in itself also mate ..

Well thanks to mrhankys advice, engine problem is now sorted, and running perfect.

However, when I switch on heater, headlights still dim, I have renewed all earth leads, and fitted extra, but it does not seem to of had any effect.

Am now thinking, that alternator that I had repaired when it failed, is duff.

So will be getting brand new one tomorrow, and hopefully it will sort it.
