UPDATED *** Another Camera Added 17/04/04 ****
5 CAMERA'S - 5 CAMERA'S 5 CAMERA'S
4 Speed Camera's on M53, between Junctions 4 - 5.
Where all the new Road works are.
Where a '50'mph is enforced.
And a New 5th Camera under the last bridge
before B&Q Junction 1. (west).
This is also part of temp road works.

went past them Monday and Friday (Today) this week. They are covered at the moment and not working. As to when they will be working i don't know, probably after the roadworks are finished???

taking place. Yeh the bags were still on Friday 20th Feb, but the camera's are in place and will start
flashing soon enough !!

They are for the road works..
When this post started they we being put in place and it was a week or so after that the plastic bags came off. And i just though that i should mention that the bags are off and there flashing away now...
Yeh when the roadworks are finished the camera's will probably be removed !!!

Need to watch for the one West Bound, Eastham Rake ! Its just behind the sign that gives you the distances to Liverpool & Birkenhead..
If your in the inside lane you might be too late.

don't think they are just for the roadworks you know the marks on the road have been there for about a year reckon they might leave a couple of them, hope not like

Don't know wheather there going to still be there after the road works are finished. They look like there fixed in for good. I seen temp ones in queenferry today, there different to the ones that we have got.

It my understanding that the type of camera's on the M53 are only calibrated to 50pmh.
So when the Road Works are eventually finished i'm pretty sure they will be removed....
Do you ever see those camera's on 70mph zone ??
That's why they use the spec camera's in 70mph zones...
Ive no ref about the camera's being calibrated at 50mph but ive never seen them active in a 70mph zone !!
The lines that could have been seen previously there were from the last road works..

This mite sound stupid but here goes...... You no when your on the motorway and go under a bridge i always see little 'camera' like things pointing down in a little green box. Any1 no wot they are?
