hi all da light unda ur car r leagal but i got pulled by da cops on 9-10-04 @23:30 about and got told too rip my light off my car or da cops will take me 2 cort i told da copa da if u gan nt c da tubes thay r leagal he then said turn them off now or i will take u too cort ( i did turn them off) so he took my reg down and said if i c u agen ur in cort !!!

true but its always nice to be nice!!! id of just turned them off and said I didnt realise till he got round the corner coz otherwise he would have got ur bad ass for somethin else!

this country stinks the coppers r all **** holes 2 b honest u try findin a decent 1!!!!! they pic on us youngsters because they no we dont no the rules of wats legal and wats not and no that we all cant b bothered arguin with a so called copper cuz we think they will just do us 4 sumthing else so we r all just nice and polite i think its time to bring all the uk modders 2gether thru cruise sites and every1 gos on the biggest cruise 2 number 10 downing street and protests now that would b the best protest any1 did c!!!!!!

says it all really, 1 minute there illegal all together and he wanted them ripped off and then they were just illegal if they were switched on. sounds to me like not even the police kno. Thus meaning there has been no law about it. So these stupid power freaked coppers need to watch bb and get a reality check.

Most police dont have a clue, i have inlaws that are poilice officers that dont even know what NOS is, they wouldnt know that rear lights have to have reflectors and would probs be baffled at neons.

you should have asked him to call a traffic cop out as they are the law on the roads.

then if he said turn them of or go to court you could then say see you in court.

there is no section or code for neon lights in teh police book as of yet.

make sure your neons are not on show and that the glow is only visible. if they can see the light tubes like on yours then you do have a problem.

but hey not all coppers are bad there are some thatt are on your side you might not know it.

I got pulled about my neons and i said iv been told it is only illegal if the tube is showing, to this he replied 'well if the sun is behind a cloud can you see the light??' i was like hmmmmm shut up... but i didnt argue coz he could have done me for my tires why do they even bother pulling people over for things like this, they need to be out doing something that actual helps people like catching real criminals!!!!!!!!!!!!

i got pulled for doing 40 in a 30 and others where going much fater than me, put he skipped over that and asked about my neon, i said it was wired direct to my lights,said i can pull it out, just said to leave and do in the morning, still not done it and not been pulled since.

print off the law bit on neons from a goverment sight and then hand them it and they will soon shut up make sure everything else is 100% legal!
