ok so guys, problem with my ipod... i've put a couple of compilation albums on my ipod touch 3rd generation but when i click on 'album' view it comes up with about 40+ of said album but each with different artists... so it's annoying, can i not have it as 1 album with the artists listed underneath??????? it's not just this album, (Now: that's what i call running) it's for 3 or 4 albums... HELP?!?!?!?!!?!!!!!!!?!!!?!?1

I learnt this the hard way. Compilation albums are a nightmare. The tracks seem to be linked to every original album they originated from when you put them into itunes. So I spent hours changing the details of every track into a virtual album called something like '1990s singles' or whatever. Then I picked a virtual album cover from google. Works fine.

The way round i find is:
select all the tracks in the compilation, right click, get info
then on one of the tabs there is an option for "is part of a compilation" select this and then it sorts them out
