R.I.P. Davey Jones, i loved his music, the Monkees were one of my fav groups of the 60s, after the Beatles, such a sad loss.

A sad loss . I know that The Monkees were never taken seriously as a music group (just look at the competition !),but they were a good pop band and very much of their time . I , for one, liked them a lot .

Used to watch them on Singapore TV in 1966/67, still got the original LP we bought out there too. Very few English language programmes out there but they were alright, we were comparatively young ourselves then. RIP mate, helped to keep us sane.
