Did a quick search, but no results  So surprised this wasn't on here already!! but from what I have now found out:- Stephen Graham (Boardwalk Empire, Tinker Tailor, Pirates OTC etc)was there filming scenes for "Blood" at West Kirby lake all day today. Has anyone been up that way today?? Any snaps?? etc etc

Yes I saw them today- last year there was a film crew for a vauxhall astra advert but i have yet to see it on tv.

They were filming this morning in the car park at West Kirby next to Morrisons, notice the mobile canteen parked up in Morrison New Brighton this evening.

I saw them earlier. They were filming at Hilbre Island today. They had a diner van in the car park next to Morrisons with a make-up trailer etc. I saw four cars coming back, one was towing an old style black car (I think the same one as in the pics above). I didn't know they were making a film, I presumed some soft arse had got stuck in the sand and needed a tow.

last year there was a film crew for a vauxhall astra advert but i have yet to see it on tv. The ad was shown at the tail half of last year but I've not seen it recently. The advert was made to celebrate Vauxhall sponsoring all of the home nations football squads and was shot at all the Vauxhall plants including Ellesmere Port and featured football stars past and present. As far as I can tell the parts filmed locally were Banks Rd shops and the marine lake and the Ellesmere Port plant. Some parts were shot in Liverpool as well. Their was a 90 second ad shown but mainly a 60 second edit was shown. YouTube has a 8 min behind the scenes and the 60 second version. Just search for Vauxhall supporting a nation advert.

I'm sure my cousin told me that Holly Willoughby was filming in West Kirby at the marine lake last week, I thought he was on the wind up again but I suppose it could be true!
