Aye...

God cried on the day Lin died, just as surely as I did, and will for a long time.

CB Radio, for my area (Bebington & Bromborough), could never be the same with Lin gone. I've been hollowed out by her passing. I am a mere shell of who I once was.

An entire era has come to an end!

I Remember you Lee wink Dunno if i ever spoke to you but remember you smile

I remember John Concorde too had quiet an amazing collection of mint Cybernet Rigs and as for Eric Big E i actually bought one of my Rigs from him grin

It was a President Madison wink

He was a mate of John Concord wasnt he?

The last i ever saw of John Concord he had just passed his Driving Test and bought an Old Skoda (the ones Engine out the Back :- )

My imeadiate Friends back when i started out where Top Gear (steve),Rolling Thunder (Carl) , Liquid Diamond (Geoff) The Decimator (Chris), Sparrowhawk (Steve) Catch 22 (Tom), Dragonslayer (Dennis), Romantic Robot (colin) to name but a few wink

Shame really i am planning on going back on the air but dont live anywhere near where i used to and doubt it will ever be the same again frown

Theres soo many others too that i spoke to but wasnt as close to, Sylvester (gary), Screwdriver (Richie), Convoy (Mickey) Ryhdiock (Steve)and then who could forget Fred storyteller?

I was certain he would still be around after the world ended?

Sadly he passed away in the 90's

Somebody mentioned Sharon Rickadonna on here i bough my first SSB Radio of her,and bought a few off her brother The Fiter (Paul)

Those where the days i miss them so much im a radio amateur now though havnt used that for years either frown

CB mid 80's to early to mid 90's were the glory days to me....

Rising Moon (Sue)
The Mole (Gene)
John (Basil Brush)
Jacki (Zanussi)
Firefly
Gadjet Man (Steve)
Carrot Cruncher (Used to sit by the Coast Guard station)

Was seriously thinking of getting another radio but they go for silly money now because of the stupidity of Ebay! :-

Was looking at a realistic on ebay a strait 40 the guy has a starting bid of £40 it wasnt woth that was going to offer him £30 (even though i didnt think it was worth that either) when it didnt sell the jerk relisted it for £75!!!!

Back in the day mint unmodded Cybernets or uniden 40's were £30 or £40 with mid

ebay has caused hysteria and people are asking ludicrous amounts for utter tat!!

Id like to have another go at it for old times sake but not at that price!

Maybe it will remain nothing more than memories :-
