I'd recommend Avast! , I've used it for about four years & have it installed on several pc's / laptops . Reasonably light on resources , regular updates & doesn't slow your pc down . I'll have a nose about it. Is it simple to use? Go Here for more info on the various free av programmes available .

Go here for more info on the various free av programmes available . This article talks about Panda and AVG as good antiviruses lol. I'd suggest ignoring that article
