Anybody know if this was previously called Chester road and, if so, when it was changed to Ferry road?

There has been a discussion before about this which I can't find.
iirc
The Chester Road used to go through the middle of Eastham village and it was in more recent times that the New Chester Road cut the corner and bypassed the village but this wasn't part of Ferry Road.
I am fairly sure that Ferry Road hasn't changed name in at least 180 years, if ever.
There's a real danger that the left will drag Britain back to the 1970s, with secure well-paid jobs, ample housing, properly-funded NHS and social care, free tuition, student grants, final salary pensions, affordable rail fares and fabulous films and music. Hi, Thnaks for the reply. The reason why I asked is that the 1841 census calls it Chester Road but cannot find info on when it changed,as it must have done, to Ferry road
