Hi folks.
I am 32 and have owned a fair few cars.
Metro Renault 11 Ford escort mk3 Orion ghia Escort mk4 Pug 205 1.9 GTI Pug 306 GTI6 vw golf vr6 Xr2i Megane cabrio Saab cabrio 93 Lotus Elise Lotus exige Vauxhall vectra ( link above car for sale)
Many of my friends have or have had a focus at some point and there is a reason it doesn't appear on my list of cars. It is the worst ford ever made!!
Just my opinion, save 2k and buy my vectra. Get a bit of a luxury drive and a bit of sport when you put the boot Down!!

The Mk1 Focus was a good drive, easily the best handling in it's class. The mk2 seemed to get a bit boring but I agree it's probably the better drive in it's class still.
No cars in that sector excite me, nor are they supposed to I guess.
I nearly bought an ST170 but it felt under powered given the fantastic handling capabilities of the car.
Get the Vectra if you want to get from A-B would be my advice, but anything like that i.e. Mondeo/Vectra/Focus/Astra are in no way sporty.

exactly what nobody says. they are functional and comfortable, capable of overtaking with ease carrying 5 adults. it is defo a class of car though. If i had 6 grand to spend and you need a 4 door car i would get my vectra (and keep 2 grand in the bank)
