The daughter of the man who suffered a heart attack at Clatterbridge after completing the egg run has confirmed on the Wirral Egg Run Facebook page despite efforts sadly he passed away.
She posted;

Hello all, my dad sadly and very suddenly passed away at last Sundays egg run. There was a lady who tried to help and provided first aid but unfortunately my dads friend didnt catch her name. We would just like to say a massive THANK YOU for her efforts xxx He loved the egg run and attended every year. It is a great comfort for us to know that he was happy only moments before he passed. We wish you all the best for future years xxx
