I've just bought these. I'd be happy to re-unite them with the family.

I now have these 3 diaries, 1937, 1944, 1945. Details:
Ronald Taylor
36 Bolton Rd.
Port Sunlight
My guess is that he was probably born in 1922 or 1923
He was having drum lessons while still at school.
Entry for 24 June 1937; 'left school'
Entry for July 1937; 'started in service department' (probably Lever's).
He was still having drum lessons, but was now regularly playing in a band.
In 1944, he belonged to the Liverpool Amateur Photographic Association.
There are several occasions when he played at "Clattabridge", unusual spelling.

If any of this rings a bell with anyone, please let me know. I'd be happy to return these to the family.

Be interesting to know where he played at Clatterbridge, only place I can think of is the hospital for that era.

There's a real danger that the left will drag Britain back to the 1970s, with secure well-paid jobs, ample housing, properly-funded NHS and social care, free tuition, student grants, final salary pensions, affordable rail fares and fabulous films and music. David Osland 2025
