Just bought a 1m motorised satellite dish and receiver and now need it installing. Anyone had one of these put in and does anyone know of an installer? I would have a go myself but really don't fancy getting 15 foot up on a ladder! Any help greatly appreciated.

If its anything like my mates, though its probably smaller if its modern, he had his years and years ago, had to be mounted on his extension roof to allow it to turn, just use to pick up various satellites that were floating around, turned by a motor fixed to it, mainly pointed so he could pick up porn from Germany and France

Its not too difficult. Basically it just needs a bracket connecting to the back wall and mounting with a spirit level then the dish should just slot into place and be bolted on. Then one of the satellites need to be located either by trial and error or through the use of a compass. The receiver should then control the dish once the sattelites are located. Thats how i understand it anyway from what I have read, I would have a go myself im ok at stuff like this normally but as I said im not great with working at heights

What make and model is the motorised bit?

Just a standard motorised 1 metre dish its an alsat dish and spiderbox 9000hd box I got the package off the alsat website

No I found someone to come and fit it for me was quite reasonable, he was only here for half hour or so, very easy to do if you fancy tackling it yourself but I didn't!
