Can anyone tell me the best way of recording a one hour radio programe on to a CDR. The programe is on Monday night, can I record it live or wait to download the podcast from iPlayer.

In the old days you just used a tape recorder but now we have computers.

I have Windows 7 and media player 12, do I need any other software like Nero.

Try this program ive used it to convert audio cassettes before

May need to download another free file which again is free so that you can save in MP3 format the program will link you to this to download once this is done it can then be burnt to CDR

bit long winded to do at first but once u have the program and you have use it once its easy ( has to be done in real time)

if you can download the file to comp it might just be a case of converting file to MP3 format which again can be done on this program.

The eventual disk is to be played back on a Apple Mac, is there any special format I need to convert it to.

Think a apple mac will play audio CDs

So once its in MP3 format use WMP to burn in Audio format then it can be player in any CD player.....you can put 120 mins of audio on a CDR so it souldnt be a problem

I tried to download the Audacity program but it came with viruses which my Norton software blocked out. The other NCH software downloaded and installed fine.

Just found out that iplayer does not let you download radio programes yet. So it will have to be recorded either live or with the listen again feature.
