Thanks Touchstone, really good site... direct line can take my quote down by another £50 Lots of good hints and tips for legitimate 'tweaking' of your insurance quotes

Direct Line quoted me £900 more than my current insurer. I found them one of the dearest.

Its worth trying a specialist broker, its just a matter of finding the right one. A couple that have given me cheap quotes for other specialist car insurance are ... Adrian Flux Lancaster To give you an idea, these type of comapanies gave me quotes £400 less than anything on comparison sites or advertised insurers.

direct line are very cheap, i am with tesco, i pay £24 per month for fiat punto, i have no no claims and i am a new driver, when i first passed my test i had a p reg fiesta, and i was with direct line i was paying £32 per month

directline amd churchill are both owned by RBS. no doubt they own a whole load more.
I used go compare and got a good deal.
