I know there was a "pub" on Union Street called "Sargeants" in the 19th Century and it had a bar in the living room of a house - also deemed as the smallest pub in Wallasey.

Oh right, I wonder if they had got confused between the two pubs? Maybe. Sometimes the passage of time can obscure the true facts and sometimes they do tend to intermingle. Just like people from Seacombe !!
