I read somewhere (wirral globe I think) about a gallery of images from WW2 of the local area being shown at Fort Perch Rock, but can't find any more info online about this showing. Does anyone have any idea if its even on yet? Has anyone been? Was it any good?!
Thanks

There ARE loads of WW2 pictures on display in the museums inside Fort Perch Rock. Well worth a look if you are interested. Anything in particular you are looking for?

Thanks for the replies. Thats answered my question nicely
dd : Nothing really specific, I'm a keen photographer anyway but also love a bit of local history, the house I'm living in now was apparently bomb damaged during the war so it'd be cool to see if by chance it made any pictures.
Will probably have a mooch down there this weekend.

Have you checked out the book "Wallasey at War 1939-45" by Ian & Marilyn Boumphrey, it will be in your local library, loads of pictures.
There are a lot of bombed Wallasey Pictures on
THIS thread (ignore the Birkenhead title).

Well recommended DD, good book. I have a WW2 (dated 1943) book called "Bombers Over Liverpool", got some cracking pics of old City centre and old Wirral!
