I remember it was called The Slak. I went there with a couple of mates, and then drove home. I was stopped by the police up the road and they claimed they had never heard of The Slak, and accused us of lying. LOL!

Most locals call it "The Slak", its a name that's stuck.

Slak was actually a name for the area, its a generic term that means a dip in the land or something.

Heswall Bar & Courtyard (formally The Slak) (formally The Sandon Arms) now has been replaced with 29 apartments called Sandon Gardens.
