you should compare the second image with a now and then comparison since Bidston Hill looks bare compared to it's now overgrown and abandoned-esque state but never the less fantastic images.

I'd prefer the hill described as "returning to its natural state before man ruined it!"

Think Bidston Hill was a lot sparser than it is now. When the big fires in the 90's a section behind the observatory was open for exploration. An old cast iron bench was revealed facing towards New Brighton, I found a sixpence dated 1929 right next to the bench as if it had fell out of the pocket of someone who was sitting on that very bench. There is another bench just past the after the windmill over the bridge near a bit of marshy area that looks simply looks over wooded area, back in the day there may have been a nice view to be had from that bench.

Will reply more later.... The Orbro building had massive structural problems due to the foundations sinking in the mud. Does anyone remember the massive sell-off when they were closing loads of stuff going next to nothing.

Tesco is over 20 years old omg

I remember the fire at Orbro that caused the structural problems - my dad was on the inspection team which condemned the building to be pulled down.
