So which should I choose; Citroen C4 Picasso - 5 Seater Nissan Qashqai Renault Scenic - 5 Seater Peugeot 5008 So a bit of a basic background, My Daughter turns 3 in May and is currently in receipt of Highest rate Disability, therefore she should become eligible for Motability come May, so they first 3 of the above have nil advanced payment at the moment, not to sure about the pug, its too new to have a price on yet. Ideally a sliding door would be great for loading and unloading of my Daughter into her seat, but then again with a disability badge, we should be able to park in places with room to open the door fully anyway. I was also interested in the smart card of the scenic, where you dont have to fumble for keys to unlock the car, the car senses the smart card nearby and auto unlocks when you pull the door handle. again usefull if I hae my hands full carrying my Daughter. but found out this only comes on the top spec scenic which is unavailable unless you pay a substancial advanced payment. The Father in Law as a 7seat picasso, and Im very impressed with the build quality and the gizmos and gadgets that you get, aswell as the boot space. The Qashqai interests me from a styling angle, but havent really had a good look, test the boot space out with her wheelchair/pram etc. The pug I havent even thought about, just an advert just come on the TV as I was writing this, I didnt even know about it till then.

You missed out the Mazda 5
Out of your list, first would be the Nissan, purely because it isn't French, and if i had to have a second choice, the C4

but is Nissan not owned by Renault now, so that would make it french. I currently drive a Mazda Premacy, and vowed never to get another Mazda.

I like the Cit, my mum has the Renault megan with keyless entry, it works well and you only need to have the keys in your pocket/bag. You don't even need to take them out to start it , just press the button and off you go.

Thats what was interesting me in the the Scenic, If I have my daughter in my arms it is a struggle to fumble for my keys even to just press the unlock button on the remote, hopefully she will get better at supporting herself and giving me a free hand to get my keys out my pocket.
Suppose I will still need a free hand to open the door, so will probably have the same struggle. Come to the conclusion that it wasn't worth the extra £ over the C4.

We bought the new grand scenic in October and we have the top of the range with the keyless entry. It works well and you can get a wheelchair straight in the back without moving any seats etc you just have to fold down the arms on the chair and that is it. Best place to go is Renault Liverpool and speak to Jeff Wing he sorted us out great with a good deal even though we bought it privately. The also do good deals on motability.

I would ignore the "Its French, its crap" comments and go for either the citroen or renault. Regardless of its build quality you will be covered in a warrenty. Incidently some of the most unreliable, badly made cars i have ever driven have been German.

If you're bothered about 'new', then why not get something for a fraction of the price. My mate is selling this, which is the best looking people carrier since the Espace before it I think. It's £1295, in Chester.

But also I currently drive an 04 plate Mazda Premacy MPV so would be a step backwards to that espace, which imho is not a nice looking car going by todays examples of MPV's even when that was a new car, you had the likes of the vw sharan, ford galaxy, vauxhall zafira and the sintra before that, which I think are nicer looking cars, even the toyota hiace and the mitzi space wagon come to think of it are nicer.

Sorry, didn't see the motorbility bit. Think you're wrong about comparing it to the Ford and Vauxhalls though, etc. Sorry, off topic.

Grrrr, New Advanced Payment Prices out now, The C4 Picasso is currently not available on the scheme, The Qashqai currently has a waiting list that stretches till atleast september but on the upside, The top of the range Scenic only has an AP of £195 and the 2nd from top has nil AP, and they both come with Keyless entry, which would be a great help, and the both come with built in Tom Tom which is pretty cool.
Just waiting for the Award now, Daughter isn't 3 till May, Come on Motability, send me the letter so I can atleast order it.
Also, I see the Ford CMAX is currently available with nil AP, its one to consider.
