Plusone tells me that the 'butcher' as we called him was actually a 'medic'. Doh!! me and you pair of idiots- should have realised that by the bottles of chloroform etc on the table- and not a 'butcheres knife' in sight!!!
Error alert! the name on the plaque GRANT, M- refers to Matthew Grant- who is Plusone' paternal Grandfather. He was shot by a sniper after the War had officially ended. Plusones Nan was 4 months pregnant with Pluses Dad at the time
That Bentley was the highlight of plusones day!!! lol. he buzzing over the pics. it was nice, like!! My highlight of the day was the 'Friends of Flaybrick Cemetery' Table. I could have sat ther all day with those 5- 6 massive folders detailing the History of the people who are inturned there. Pictures of the people alive etc- fascinating stuff- cant wait for the walks. Unfort- they knew nothing about the person/ grave that we discovered on a ghosthunt- the one with a metal railing around it, with a 'duck' emblem but 'Daphne' has asked me to point it out to her on the C of E walk (8th May) and 'they' will look into it!! She was aware of what I was waffling on about.
If I remember right it is situated near the Laird grave ie- C of E area. If im wrong, then the information may have been ther but in another folder? all shall be revealed- in time!!
not a lot to photograph Was pleased to meet chriskay, missed DD and did uptonic sneak in today and take a pic of Woodside Hotel model If so did he take any of the Woodside station part I tried but all pics turned out black Here are a few pics some off rudebox from book
whoops. would now be a bad time to tell that that i've added cyanide to it as sprinkles? look at the bright side. if theres any annoying relatives we dont want there we can have them removed "permanently" XD btw is it me or does that person to the right of the pic look like as if he's throwing up over the banister?

Derek- that pic of Plusone and the 'Bentley' somes up the day! thankyou. i can recall the conversations going in amongst the 'huddles'. The lady next to me was from 'age concern' and was telling me how i could maximise my pension! whereas, i was just eager to sit in the car before the driver took off! by the way- he didn't own the car- it belonged to his mate- who owns a fleet of them!!

Yes, I was there a bit earlier as I had to be back in Upton by 12.30. These are the only pictures I took of the model:
Glad to meet you all too. The pic. of Rudebox on the balcony shows definite Hitler tendencies; hope you manage to control her, Plusone, or we'll soon be reading about her invading Liverpool (or at least Bebington).
The photo entitled "Birkenhead High View" shows RMS Windsor Castle the largest passenger ship ever built by Lairds, it was laid down in 1957, launched, in 1959 and made its' maiden voyage in 1960, the photo shows it complete so it must date from 1960.After a long and varied life it was finally scrapped in 2005.
