When i was at hemmy there were two brothers called prichard
i think they were welsh
One took woodwork and the other religious instruction
They were two pretty good guys i never had any problems
with them,on reflection all the staff were good

That was them
i left as soon as i was able to
W Hayes and the english teacher Mr Amblot(think thats how its spelt
turned up at my house to get my parents to try and persuade me to stay on
never worked though Cammell Lairds and money was calling

I dont know a teacher called Amblot but i remember a teacher
called MR Camp he took geography
I am not sure of the art teacher it may have been Thomas
there was a guy called Bethel i dont know what he did

I went there 1971/2 was a mad old teacher had a skeleton he talked to on top floor sound guy thou

I would to make contact with anyone who went to Hemmy

the same time as me 1950 to 1955 and if possible in the
upper A and lower A classes .I have not lived in Birkenhead
since 1962 so i have lost contact with a lot of friends

Both Park Primary and Somerville Middle (Wallasey) have been flattened in the last 12 months, although Somerville closed as a school back in the 80s. I was at Park 70 - 75 and Somerville 75 - 78.

i went to cathcart street 1952-1958 i remember mr speed also students billy ross, david dyble,john allen,alastair gow sally vickery to name a few. it was a great school.my name is paul hill, i lived on marion street. has anyone got any photos please and of marion street.i went to rocky high after for 2 years.
