What time you meant to be off, on, out, down, start
I'm not jumping. Did Leasowe last year and nearly sh1t myself!! I'm 'ground' staff' today - I believe I'm giving out certificates! Got to be over there for 8am and stay til the end.
A work mate and myself did the abseil yesterday (Saturday) WOW! it was great.... We had bit of a hold up at the start but it was well worth it and a great charity to do it for...
Many thanks to the folks who sponsored us and also our companies charitable commitee & of course the Stroke Association for organising it.
The big downer on the day for me was:- on a day of a fundraiser and also a day Liverpool had a troop homecomming parade my partner and her friend spotted in the crowd of supporters a few lads stalking ladys in the crowd, asummed to be bagsnachers, pickpockets whatever..How low can these people be.They cleared off when they realised theyd been spotted..I hope nobody was affected by these lowlifes.
Well today got off to a flying start - Despite the rain they were running early for the first couple of hours. The 11 oclock group had just gone down when the wind got up and changed direction and that was the end of that. Such a shame but definitely the right decision to stop. As I came away at 12.30 one of the ropes was wrapped around a lamp post!!!!! Well done to everyone who manged to jump and good luck to all those who will jump at a re-arranged date.
