Have quite a few of these magazines including a moreton parish magazine, these were not scanned but taken by a camera phone so excuse the quality, there is a lot more where this came from. I think I have 1929, 1932, 1935 and 1944, all survive because they have christenings of my uncles listed in them.

A few more mags left but could do with getting a scanner, but jusggling that with decorting the house and lots of other jobs is a pain in the backside.

The last photo shows the marriage of my granparents on 31st May 1929, they then lived at 364 or 368 Laird street until about 1988 when they moved to corporation road never really moving far from the church they were married at.

Thankyou for those posts MerseyMan - good information!

There's a real danger that the left will drag Britain back to the 1970s, with secure well-paid jobs, ample housing, properly-funded NHS and social care, free tuition, student grants, final salary pensions, affordable rail fares and fabulous films and music. David Osland 2025

These have a trove of information in the adverts .....and I notice that one of the baptism's on April 3rd is of David Norman Blythe of 11 Mona Street ....didn't the Blythe family have the Blacksmith Forge and workshop in the top corner of Mona St....it used to be the place to go to get new horseshoes.....don't suppose its still in business
