As a power kiter i can tell you its easterly winds for all of the weekend. That means overland wind which is lumpy and unpredictable. Absolutely crap for good flying and the railway line causes lots of disruption added to the wet conditions i cann't see this year being a big success even with flyers from all over the world being here.
I think the next event is up past morcambe and i have seen some of these at york races as part of bike week.
