where are the parents amongst all of this, and what a great punishment for the little tits. This will set a fine example to all the other young dicks out there who want to cause £100,00 of damage

Responsibility and Accountability. The lads are accountable for their actions but the responsibility has to be shared IMO, not just in this case, but in any case of "children" breaking the law or generally making a nuisance of themselves.
Sometimes Police Officers give more than just speeding tickets!

i dont see how the parents have any thing to do with it. becuase it is the lads the caused the damage My parents taught me that it was wrong to attack people with weapons and to sit on roof tops causing 100,000's of pounds worth of damage........oh and that sitting on roof tops is dangerous too.

yea but if somebody is off their head on pills it dosent matter what the parents teach you. it dosent excuse what happened but i dont think it is the parents fault. thats my opinion

Parents are responsible for their children until they reach 18 years old. If a child is 'off it's head on pills' at 15/16 years old then that is also the responsibility of the parents. Unless you know something I don't?.......................

build more jails and borstals, bang them all up and then they are off the streets. Never mind all the crap about prison does not work. Bare cells with basic bed and chair, nothing else. At least then they are not causing decent people trouble all the time.
