Spotted a 1999 Vectra SRI 2.5 V6 for £200

MOT'd til April 2009


Unfortunately subject to a Cat C Write-Off, but all it needs is a front passenger door (checked with VOSA)

No pic of the door in question, buts its 5 inch dent front window to bump strip (down middle)

Therefore, will also need a VIC check

Question is.... Should I buy it?

£200 it's one hell of a bargain

Would just had to swap a door over and take it for VIC in Liverpool

With it requiring a VIC, would i need to do the MOT again ? (expires Apr 09)

Forget that

A new MOT is required after a VIC has been performed, before the vehicle is legally allowed back on the road

Another £30 to £40 then


Still.... not too bad. £100 to get it back on the road before tax and insurance

Need to see the car / pics.

Have the pillars been damaged for it to be "C" rather than a "D"

Going up to see it in the next couple of days

So will check for any pillar or sill damage

Id buy it. But i have a soft spot for these and theyre not too common either.

If you buy it, it deserves a straight through exhaust, the noise of these is enough to get the hairs on your neck to stand!

basically waiting on this omega to go, and then i am going after this car
